Today I was driving around with my kids running errands about ready to just explode. I don't know what it was that made today anymore stressful than the rest, so I decided to go to the gym and at least get a good work out. Well today was ladies night and they had vendor's galore all in front not to mention the Oklahoma blood donation bus on the front lawn. I thought about donating my blood but was not to sure just yet. I went thru my workout met great people got some news clients and left feeling extra special and grateful then I saw the bus. So I took my kids home told my husband I would be back after I donate my blood. I have always wanted to do this especially more often since I am 0- but the last 2 times I did I got massive bruises and a lot of pain. Some how I knew today would be different, and I was right. They had no problem finding my small rolling veins, I didn't bruise and have no pain or dizziness. So that left me feeling even better for doing my part to help other's. I tend to go above and beyond to do whatever I can to help and sometimes it annoys my husband, but that is just they way I am. So I have been trying to pick my volunteer works closely and still be around for the family. Someone always told me:
Any little thing you can think of to help other's is a big deal so don't ever think your not doing enough cause you are. I remind myself of that everyday. So on that note I would love to hear from you on one of your favorite volunteer stories. In fact every person who participates with this will be entered in a drawing for a free skin-so-soft basket (a $30 value) for just sharing your stories. I will let this run until Aug 12Th, 2009 and email the winner along with announcing in a blog. Please send me a private message with your email so I may contact you when you win. Good Luck and I cant wait to read your stories.

You are so braver than I am. I hated all the times I had to give blood when I was pregnant. This is something I wish I had the strength to do, and have tried but haven't been successful. One day I'll have the strength to do it.
I provide women who are battling ovarian cancer the gift of a redesign of one of the rooms in their home. A healing haven if you will. In the 2 years I have done this I have made a number of friends and of course cried huge tears for the women who have not made it.
I am slowly making my way around to all the blogs that visited me when I was featured on SITS to say "Thank you". It is indeed a fabulous SITStahood.
Be blessed!
I do believe that every little thing counts. Like Mother Theresa says, that ocean wouldn't be as full without the one drop.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Well it is getting close to the 12th and I have the prize ready to order, so if there is anyone else out there that wants to get a chance to win the $30 skin-so-soft basket all you have to do is post one of your personal experiences on this blog post,( helping anyone you can ).
